It has been wonderful to welcome everyone back for the start of a new school year at Sandfield.

Both Mr Osman and I were greeted by so many smiling faces as we opened the school gates on our first morning back.

It was lovely to see our children returning with such enthusiasm and excitement, ready for the year ahead.

We have been incredibly impressed with how quickly the children have settled into their new classes.

Across the school, staff have commented on how positive, focused and ready to learn the children have been. They have embraced new routines, new classrooms and, for some, new teachers with confidence and maturity.

A very special welcome goes to all the new pupils and families who have joined our Sandfield community this year. It is always a pleasure to meet new families and help them settle into life at our school. We want every child and family to know that they are valued, supported and very welcome here at Sandfield.

As a staff team, we would also like to thank all our parents and carers for preparing your children so well for the new term. The children have returned looking refreshed and ready to learn. Their school uniforms look smart, there are plenty of shiny new school shoes, some fantastic new haircuts, and most importantly, they have arrived with positive attitudes and a real eagerness to succeed.

The strong partnership between home and school is one of the things that makes Sandfield such a special place. We know that when families and school staff work together, children thrive both academically and personally.

We are excited about the year ahead and the many opportunities it will bring. Here's to a fantastic school year, with us all working in partnership to ensure that every Sandfield child is happy, successful and able to be the very best they can be.
