Advantages:
* Accountability
* Clarity - knowing your roles
* 1 person to report back to so communication will not be miscommunicated.
* Function of each layer within the structure would be very clear and distinct. Which means there will be close lines of responsibility and control within the organisation.
* Clear progression and promotion ladder due to 1 person being in control. This avoids controversial statements being made (LearnManagement2, 2018).

Disadvantages:
* Because of multiple levels this could result in miscommunication.
* Decision making could cause a delay in feedback due to the amount of employees
* Freedom and responsibility will be restricted for the employees in the other layers (lower down the line) (LearnManagement2, 2018).

An advantage of this structure is that it allows there to be no mistakes. This is because the hierarchy means that there will be less mistakes being made. therefore the FA should have no problems with dealing with any problems and new strategies. Another advantage of this structure means that there is so many people who will be working on multiple opportunities that will help expand the business and will also help the organisation grow.

A disadvantage of this structure is that there are so many different roles and people being other peoples boss, meaning that some people are not there to help the organisation or the sport (Football). But they will be there for themselves to try and develop and improve their CV or move up the hierarchy. Meaning that the organisation may not grow due to people trying to impress others then getting their job/work done.
