2. Can you think of someone you know who has grit? What qualities do they have that make them gritty?
I can think of my dad, and it's pressure to push him to be gritty.

Every time he failed data science, the pressure of "it is interesting how could I don't enjoy it", "it is useful to my business I must learn it" and "it is useful for my future" will push him to continue learning it.

3. Have you ever worked hard toward a long-term goal? What helped you stay motivated and overcome challenges?
Yes, for example, my year score. I tried to get six advance / advance+ this year and I did it :D

I think the pressure helped me to get over it, here is the logic link:

I want to be in the top 10% -> I need to have a good job -> I need to have a good university -> I need to have a good score to prove to the university that I'm worth it -> The university could look at my score start when I'm year 9 -> I need to get a full advance when I'm year 9 -> To be safe I need to get half of the advance when I'm year 8 -> To be safe I need to get a full advance when I'm a year 7

4. What obstacles do you think can get in the way of developing grit? How can you overcome these obstacles?
Games, shorts, and novels might get in your way when trying to reach your goal because they seem more fun and easy than your goal.

Just think about the result if you didn't reach your goal, for example, you might get a bad score when year 9, and it did push me to keep learning.

5. How can you cultivate grit in your own life? What steps can you take to develop this quality?
It can be useful in your work and your development, because many people went out for playing when they need to finish their work, and it's usually hard to keep on when you are self-developing because there's no deadline.

I think you can use "pressure" - which I said plenty of times - or you can build a habit. A habit like reading books for only 1 page every day, it's easy to reach, and usually when you start your first page, you won't end so quickly. Or you can try shutting down all social media when you are working, so you don't have to face choices between "friends and easy plays" and "boring hard-working". You can also try to bring a book ar something to help you learn with you, when you have some idle time, like standing on a lift, you can open your book and read it.
