Green algae has grown on sloths because of their slow moving body that camouflages them as they inch slowly through the tree tops so that predators have a harder time seeing them. Many animals have also learned that food supplies are limited and adapted to eating animals and plants that have an abundance so as to be able to provide food for others of their kind. Another adaption is how many animals including monkeys, lizards, etc. have long tails and/or limbs that help them swing from branch to branch.
