         <description><![CDATA[<p><em>Using ChatGPT to create factfiles:</em></p><p>​</p><p>Create a visually engaging, student-friendly factsheet about [TOPIC] for students to complete using information from sources such as texts, videos, news articles, or books. The factsheet should serve as a guided worksheet that helps students: (1) summarize key points, (2) cite new vocabulary learned, (3) highlight the most interesting or surprising facts, and (4) check their understanding of the source material. ​</p><p><br></p><p>It should be designed for [GRADE LEVEL] students, ensuring it is easy to understand, engaging, and curiosity-driven. The factsheet should be structured as a <strong>clear, well-spaced table</strong> with headings, prompts, and bullet points that encourage thoughtful responses.          <description><![CDATA[<p><br/></p><p>I’ve been working with my 4th and 5th-grade bilingual students on a Social Emotional Learning project using the book Who Do I Look Like? by Mary Schulte as our main resource. The book has been a wonderful starting point for exploring important themes like identity, family connections, and what makes each of us unique.</p><p>Through a series of guided activities, my students have been reflecting on their physical and personal traits, thinking about which traits they share with family members, and recognizing the qualities that make them special. Some of the activities we’ve done include drawing self-portraits with descriptive sentences, creating family traits charts, and having open discussions where they share and celebrate their individuality.</p><p>This experience has helped students develop not only their English vocabulary and sentence structure but also their self-awareness, empathy, and confidence. It’s been a meaningful way to build a classroom environment where everyone feels seen, valued, and proud of who they are.</p>]]></description>
