Painting of a ditch - "The sea begins here"- ODS 14

A painting project of a ditch was carried out with the 5th E, 5th F, 6th E and 6th G classes, whose central theme is figures from the ecosystem of the coast of Portugal. The choice of elements represented was motivated by their unique characteristics and environmental significance, highlighting the octopus, turtle, starfish, seahorse, and crab. Through this project, we aimed to promote environmental education and awareness among students, emphasizing the importance of preserving our oceans and marine biodiversity, and alerting to how pollution, through ditches, can have a devastating impact on marine ecosystems, as their water ends up flowing into the oceans, carrying waste and contaminants. This project combines artistic education, environmental education, and encourages a collective responsibility for environmental conservation.

Collage work representing the Garganta do Cabril do Ceira Gorge for a contest promoted by ECO ESCOLAS. The " Garganta do Cabril do Ceira " is a long and high canyon, crossed by the Ceira River, located at the base of the Serra da Lousã, in the Parish of Serpins. The Ceira River culminates in a small dam where a kind of natural pool forms. The walls of the canyon create a water mirror that reflects the quartzitic walls of the slope.
