         <description><![CDATA[<div>Roosevelt wanted to support the British by <br>giving them arms vehicles and supplies needed to fight the Germans and prevent Germany from taking Britain. They had lost all of their destroyers to German submarine attacks and needed the supplies to defend their country. In order to do this Roosevelt need to change the Neutrality laws to allow  the British to receive the needed supplies. The people trusted Roosevelt's judgement and choices based on how he handled the Great Depression.  </div>]]></description>
