Animals do not necessarily have a process of reasoning, they have animal-like instincts which differ greatly. Example: Humans will most likely leave the last pizza after they are full for someone else. However, unlike humans in a hunt a Predator will not leave prey for anyone else full or not it may still pounce on the prey. And finally a certain type of compassion towards others that may differ from you. Reptiles will break and devour eggs of other reptiles.
