I loved this book and sobbed while reading the ending. It's a classic that many people would enjoy, especially if they love dogs. I have fond memories of reading this to my daughters and talking about it with them. They still talk about reading this book together.

I like this book because I thought it had an introkit plot that talked about real life things so it felt like I was really living in a different time. Even though it wasn't always happy, I liked it because it was talking about something that was real and it didn't feel made up or fiction at all even thought it was. I also thought the plot was interesting because the two different things that were happening to the main character wove together at the end it wove together at the end even thought it seemed like they had almost nothing to do with each other the book showed me that they were really talking about similar things.
