         <description><![CDATA[<div><em><mark>OCEANIA - Fiji</mark></em><br><br>What is the capital city of Fiji?<br>Suva<br><br>Question: What would their main target market be?<br>Answer: Adventure travelers.<br><br>-Activities to do in Fiji include hiking in the mountains, horse-riding, swimming with the sharks and manta rays.<br><br>-Infrastructure of the country was mentioned as a threat, when it should actually be under weaknesses.<br><br>- Was mentioned to be easily accessible, but if it is only accessible through New Zealand and Australia (as mentioned in the presentation), it does not make the destination very accessible.<br><br>- Mentioned there was a cultural problem when a question was asked, as there were "many Indians" (discrimination of culture)<br><br></div><div><strong>Geography Presentation (Week 12)<br></strong><em><mark>SOUTH AMERICA</mark></em><strong><em><mark> - </mark></em></strong><em><mark>Bolivia</mark></em><strong><em><br><br></em></strong>What is the capital city?<br>Sucre<br><br>Salar De Uyuni - A very popular tourist attraction in Bolivia, is also world's largest salt flat.<br><br>Yungas Road - Most dangerous road in the world.<br>When asked a question about the safety of the road, the group mentioned that the deaths are not caused by bicycling tourists, but generally by local accidents. Also mentioned that most tourists going there are escorted by tour guides.<br><br>Mountain of seven colors - Unique natural attraction, cannot be found in just any country.<br><br>Cholita Wrestling - One of the most popular events in La Paz, where women are dressed in costumes and they wrestle.<br><br>- Has their own unique traditional food such as Llajwa, Anticuco.<br><br>Strength- Various accommodation choices for people of all budgets.<br>Weakness- Language barrier<br>Opportunities- Improve language diversity<br>Threats- Environmental damage to natural attractions<br><br><strong>Geography Presentation</strong> (Week 13)<br><em><mark>AFRICA - Tunisia<br><br></mark></em>Situated in North Africa, bordered by Mediterranean Sea and Sahara Desert.<br>99% muslim country.<br><br>Hammamet - Can camel ride in this place<br><br>Dougga Thougga - World Heritage Site <br><br>Movie "Star Wars" has made it more popular<br><br>Strength: Direct flights, many attractions (natural, man-made, historical etc)<br>Weakness: Political problems<br>Opportunities: Using more interactive services<br>Threats: Chances of terrorist attacks<br><br><strong>Geography Presentation (Week 14)</strong></div><div><em><mark>MIDDLE EAST - Bahrain<br><br></mark></em>- Has a lot of historical sites, even apart from the ones mentioned in the presentation slides<br>- Can preserve their attractions more, such as the Tree of Life where the surrounding fences do very little to protect the ancient tree.<br>- Quite a lot of tourism receipts, can work more on tourism promotion to reach the level of UAE and Dubai in terms of tourist arrivals and receipts.<br>- A unique selling point would be the pearl diving.<br>- Has bars and night clubs for people who may be interested in a vibrant nightlife. <br>- May be considered unsafe for women to travel alone, due to public harassment on the streets and sexual harassment.<br><br>One of our classmates asked whether the divers are able to keep the pearls in a case where they are lucky enough to find one, and apparently they can. However, every dive is allowed to pick only upto 60 oysters.<br><br>The presenting group talked about how women's rights were held back, on aspects such as education.<br><br>When a question was asked on how the country was working on women empowerment, the group answered that one of the country's recently newly elected brand ambassador's was a Jewish lady, which is quite a significant step for a country such as Bahrain, where majority of the people are muslims, with mostly men in higher positions when it comes to jobs.<em><br></em><br></div>]]></description>
