As people get older they get weak, become less healthy, and then pass away which makes the population decrease. When people die there is always another birth which brings the population back up.People immigrate to new countries for a better life which leads to that counties population rising. Also people emigrate if they are thrown or forced out of their own country. These people are moving  from a place which makes their population decrease.
