It should be easy for all to understand, center diversity, and have the option for differentiation.

Also, as a learner I benefit from a lot of privilege as an english speaking white male, such that I didn't come to realize the presence of the hidden curriculum until I was starting my teaching career. The revelation that education is not inherently a safe or fair setting certainly informs the way I teach, and I like to think I counteract what oppressive systems do to students through my teaching.
