Anthony: It is necessary to be reminded of the "dark periods" of topics so we know how far people have gotten into the "dark side." It is important to know these things to set boundaries and lines that are meant to not be crossed. It is important for students to be shown this due to the lack of knowledge and insight that is shown about it. It is easy to cover and get into in regards to U.S. History and would be a reminder to those that we have the priviledge to live in a time where these are very uncommon and we had the proper resources to seek the necessary help.

Anthony: This article has been chosen due to how it helps to add in a lesson about Mental Health in a class with an already packed curriculum. It adds a bunch of knowledge, such as teachers notes, on how to do this instruction and even some sources about journal entries of people with mental health issues in the past. It gives the class first person perspectives or retellings of how people in the past discussed their issues and the amount of mental stress they had and what they had done in result of it.
