My answer is 1.209 x 10^3

this is how i got it:

erg=10^-7 j

radiant energy of sun =3.9 x 10^33 x 10^-7

=3.9 x 10^26 J/s

in one year=3.1 x 3.9 x10^33

=12.09 X 10^33

=1.209 x 10^34

=12.09*10^40

=1.209*10^41

That approximately is 1.208x10^40

It's a nice one! :D

The energy produced in one second is given. You have to calculate the energy produced in 3.1x10^7 seconds!

The operations are easy, though they do look nasty with exponents:)
