I attended the conference, as one of the panel speakers, to talk about the understanding, internalization and implementation of SDGs in a school ecosystem in "Green English" conference held in Capadoccia, Turkey.

Charity Calendar Project

We have started our Charity Calendar project in October 2024, and we are about to come to the end of the journey. Every month we apply between 2 and 3 SDGs. Students , along with their parents and relatives try to act on the chosen SDGs out of school community and they need to prove the impact they made through videos, presentations, letters, etc. Every month we choose a remarkable action and assign advocate of the month.

Journey to Equality with Collaboration in Education!

As part of the Global Schools Program, we have joined forces as Doğa College, Ayazağa Işık High School, Kocatürk Schools, Şahin Schools and İstanbul SEV American College!

We invite our students to a creative journey themed around equality and justice with the Arkadaş Kalemler - Writing and Painting Competition.

Works themed “We Write and Draw for Equality!” will be exhibited, shared in the digital environment and one participant will win the Equality Ambassador Badge!

Changemakers in Action – Youth Mentorship for Impact

As part of their Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) programme, Grade 11 students at Albanian College Tirana mentored Grade 5 students over a two-month period to support their IB PYP Exhibition, which explored global problems and solutions through the lens of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The students took meaningful action in various areas: some organized beach clean-ups and promoted recycling by producing reusable bags, while others tackled issues of social justice. One group, in collaboration with Grade 10 students, Grade 11 mentors, and UNICEF, focused on SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. Together, they raised funds to purchase 40 books for children residing in institutions due to conflict with the law.

This project highlighted the power of student-led action, cross-grade collaboration, and community partnership—demonstrating how youth, when guided and empowered, can lead purposeful change within and beyond their school environment.
