Most Indonesians do not celebrate christmas; however, some people do.

If you go to big supermarkets and malls you can probably see Christmas decorations and trees everywhere.

Basically; if you want to decorate or celebrate Christmas or simply buy a christmas tree you can find a wide range of offers.
To celebrate Christmas you can go to  a restaurant with family and friends; you can also invite them over to make a big meal.

It is amazing because we eat meat and cheese but also many indonesian food such as sate ayam which is a sort of chicken kebab and Nasi goreng which is fried rice; really yummy.

We celebrate Christmas by putting Christmas decorations around the house. We leave cookies and milk for Santa. we decorate the house an christmas trees 

The school is also decorated; with red and green flags; we make handcraft with our teachers.
At school; we also have a huge christmas show  where we perform; dance and sing for other classes and parents and before holiday we have a huge christmas market to buy gift for friends and family.
This year we will have some workshops to make Christmas decorations and sell them for charity.  We are looking forward to it.

Most of the indonesians do not celebrate christmas but they do traditional activities; like family dinners and parties.
In jakarta the majority of the people are muslim so they do not celebrate christmas but they are very happy to share the moment with those who celebrate. The weather is hot in Indonesia and the temperature is around 30 degrees celsius ; however you can see decorations on supermarkets with fake snow and reindeers…it is really funny.

Although Christianity is the second-largest religion in Indonesia, it only forms a minority in the country. Around ten percent of the Indonesian population is currently counted as Christian; a percentage which - in absolute terms - constitutes approximately 23.5 million people which is a very big number still.

Indonesian Christians usually go to church services on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. In most churches and cathedrals, people create nativity scenes and use them as part of the Nativity drama performance. Christmas trees in Indonesia are normally artificial ones made of plastic.
