Yes the narrator is telling us what he used to do when he was an alcoholic. The reader can trust the narrator because the narrator is telling the reader he drank alcohol. Something that can change one personality is that they stop drinking alcohol.

Yes we can trust what the narrator tells us because we know that Poe was an alcoholic and he could have wrote about that problem that he had. What can cause one's personality to dramatically change is that they could have a terrible injury or an accident so that is why their personality could dramatically change.

I can't trust the narrator because he killed his wife and is an alcoholic he is crazy . A personality can change fast because of alcoholic .

I think the reader can trust what the narrator tells us, It seems true the way he tells it, they honestly kind of tell us what alcohol can do to you, like poe acts crazy and kills people? that's not normal. And alcohol can cause someones personality to change, And it can cause someone to walk weird, ETC.

I don't trust what the narrator tells us because we don't know how his life as a teenager was and that could have been different from how he is now like in his teenage he could have been really nice and now he is older he is wanting to hurt people. Something that can cause one's personality to dramatically change is when you drink day after day, or if you get into a really bad accident

I can trust the narrator after telling us this thus he had killed and dismembered his wife and is an alcoholic and even in the text it does say he is a little messed up in the head

He started drinking and it changed the way he thought and the way he acts. I don't think you can trust what he is telling us because the way he acts when he said he wasn't mad and he said he wasn't crazy. when he was younger he said he loved animals. then he said he started drinking and him constantly kept drinking.

No I do not think that the narrator in The Black Cat is guilty because he does not show any kind of mercy. Yes I believe that the narrators claim that perverseness is human nature because we try to finish something even though it is over.

No we can not trust what the narrator tells us because. He got into alcohol and alcohol messes with you're head and makes you do stuff you usually wouldn't. He killed his wife because she got in the way.

I think that I could trust the narrator because Edgar Allan Poe had lots of pets and was happy but when all he had was Pluto so he was not as happy so he started drinking.

Yes. The reader would be able to trust that the narrator is stating the truth because the things he did would be things done when one is under the influence of alcohol. Alcohol also causes you to do things you wouldn't usually do and the narrator stayed that he loved animals all his life and still loved them as an adult, and that he loved his wife and Pluto and all his other pets. So this informs this is something clearly out of the norm for him.

yes, he felt some guilt from cutting the cats eye out, and he quite literally turned himself into the police, he felt guilty.

And I think it is preserved by human nature, Because people will want to do bad things more than good things.

yes, he felt guilty at least some for cutting the cats eye out because he used to love animals, and literally turned himself into the police, so yes he felt guilty.

also I think it is preserved human nature because people will want to do very bad things rather than really good things.

The narrator did those actions without having self control over it so I do think that once he realized what he did he had at least a little bit of guilt. However I do think it is indeed human nature to be urged upon to do something you shouldn't however, typically it is not as bad as to physically harming someone and/or something that could lead to that person and/or thing dying due too it.

No, because his childhood he used to be kind and now that he is older he is more violent and wants to hurt people not help. He is an alcoholic and he is drunk in all the stories so I don't trust him.

No I feel like the narrator does not feel guilty for what he did because he did it willingly and had no remorse for it. I feel like he chose this path and he chose doing all this and chose drinking witch messed him up bad.

No I don't think you can trust him because he blames all his actions and what he does on alcohol and you don't know how his life was before he started to drink alcohol. He may have been a good kid and listened. Once you drink alcohol so much it can change you as a person and change your personality.

No, I don't think that the narrator is guilty. I think this because he wouldn't do the things he did if he thought about it. Killing your wife isn't just an accident. He also did it just because he could.

I don't think he feels guilty because he said he ha gotten a good nights sleep after killing his wife. I feel that its human nature to want to do bad things because it gives us dopamine.
