This is as a result of Saudi National bank, a major shareholder, ruled out any further investments. The potential fall of Credit Suisse has been shaking up financial markets, and had a huge impact in numerous stock markets. The fear of a financial crisis has been spread like wildfire, and private equity is extracted from banks, as many banks are no longer trusted. However, Credit Suisse has been granted a $54Bn lifeline from the Swiss national bank. The loan is set to increase liquidity and regain investors confidence and trust.
