Let's say a needed a loan for school for 5,000 dollars. If I went to a bank it would cost me about 5,300 dollars, with the current standard interest rates. If I went to a payday lender, it could cost up to 6,000 dollars. Payday loans are never the a good option. They cost so much money in the long run, and can so easily trap consumers in a vicious cycle (Section 4.1).
