<title>That although we definitely saw growth we are not where we want our students to be at this point in the year. </title>

<title>I learned that we do not have to allow 3 days just for one test and the information reinforced the premise that the benchmark tests are primarily to provide information to direct teacher planning for lessons. Thank you for giving us the flexibility to set reasonable limits.</title>

<title>It is a bit of a challenge on a block schedule, especially with the English and the TDA testing. It seems like we are testing every other week. It would be great to have delineated PD for Block schools vs. 7-period day schools. </title>

<title>The benchmark, worked on the assumption that students had full and deep understanding of each curriculum topic by the time of the benchmark. 2. Teachers wanted more data than they were given with their own login on Mastery Connect, and in all four areas more than was given in the data sent to principals. 3. We learned lessons on how to better give the benchmark assessment. The first time was rough with technology and other pragmatic concerns (how do students log in? what do we do if students didn&#39;t finish? how much time will student need? etc.), but in talking with teachers, they have all made changes to their method of administering the benchmark so it goes more smoothly the second time. </title>

<title>I agree that more thought needs to be put into MC for block schedule schools to make the testing relevant and meaningful. We feel that we are playing catch up with understanding/using MC benchmarks since PD on using MC was so close to the start of the school year.</title>

<title>We have to continue to reinforce the value of Mastery Connect to our teachers. We have to be intentional with the data and not get held up on any outlier questions that may not be the best. We also need to increase our use of Mastery Connect to create formative assessments.</title>

<title>It did not take as long as we expected - after we got over some of the technology issues. Our teachers are not over joyed with the success rate - however, they do realize the value and seeking additional tools (to include more collaboration within the department) in hopes of future success. An increase in use will only improve the comfort level for all involved.</title>

<title>I learned to focus on the item analysis, not just the raw score. Also, meeting in PLC to share and discuss results has been helpful. </title>
