In high school instead of playing sports (other than running cross country) I raised animals and showed them competitively! I mainly raised pigs for four years, but my senior year I decided to raise a goat and named him Owen! I couldn't exactly bring him with me when I moved to college, so he stays back home in the barn with the pigs my sisters now raise! He acts very similar to a dog and is very spoiled! He has raised me and my sisters ever since I was four years old along with my Nana until she passed away in 2011 from a car accident. He has been my father figure, my running partner, hunting partner and my best friend all of my life! After 1/3 of his lung gone and chemotherapy treatmenthe beat the odds and survived lung cancer.
