⁃Asked some closed ended qn but also was able to follow up with other qns to gather more info from parent

 ⁃Accidentally went into the goal without establishing one with the parent yet so parent was a little lost with the “goal”.

 ⁃Coach was quick to pick up on the hiccup and was able to guide the parent towards establishing a goal together.

 ⁃Coach went into directing a goal, might be better to open the topic of “social interaction” as the problem since parent mentioned something along that line. Can ask if parent is open to hear about the components that makes up social interaction and get parent to prioritise what area she would like to work on, to establish a goal.

 ⁃Coach was conscious of letting the parent speak more and was able to get parent to open up about 

the topic.

-Coach also paraphrased what the parent said at the end of a few sentence, so it helped the parent gather her thoughts, and also showed  active and reflective listening

-jumping into offering solutions

-why they choose smthng? why they didnt choose smthng else? understanding the rationale for their choices? why it doesn't work? sometimes the solution works, but the delivery method didnt work. Should explore more into the implementation.

-what can we envisage

-not just looking at if there is any problem. is there smthng u enjoyed, that you wish you do more of? (e.g. not done before, but wish to do more of). e.g. family goal, personal goal

-the special needs child might get all the attention. The normal kid, daddy/ mummy, might be left out. Imbalance, not eugh attention from parents/ spouse.

e.g. normal kid wait outside, while the special need child is in therapy session. get the normal kid in, build relationship with sibilings.

-e.g. if mummy/daddy is in the picture most of the time, not mentioned about one of them. Then can ask, what is the party involvement in a subtle way. To find out more.
