In education, scaffolding refers to a variety of instructional techniques used to move students progressively toward stronger understanding and, ultimately, greater independence in the learning process

Students form a group with others reading the same book. Students read and solve the teacher-designed activities that relate

to their book. The group shares with the class what they have learned from their reading.

Jumpstarting is where teachers pre-teach a small group of students the concepts, vocabulary, and processes prior to beginning a lesson for the whole class. The purpose is to build background and vocabulary knowledge for students who need extra time and support.

Flipped Classroom- Flipped classroom involves reversing the traditional teaching model by having students watch pre-recorded lectures or read materials before coming to class, and using class time for interactive discussions, group work, and problem-solving. It can help teachers quickly adapt to blended learning models. 

I did this for Ag earth science class.

Dividing the class into partners, displayed a statement and students had to pass the whiteboard back and forth to come up with a uniform decision before showing their answer.

paper. The paper is then passed to the next student to record another answer. The process continues until

the teacher tells the students to stop.

A teacher can benefit students compreshion of subject mateiral if they are giving numerous points of contact such as quizzes, warm-ups, exit-tickets, exams, and even worksheet.

1. Science: Students can be asked to compare and contrast different types of animals, such as mammals, reptiles, and birds. They can identify similarities, such as having a backbone, and differences, such as the type of skin or how they reproduce. This activity helps students develop their understanding of animal classification and biological diversity.
2. History: Students can be asked to compare and contrast different historical figures or events, such as the American Revolution and the French Revolution. They can identify similarities, such as the desire for independence, and differences, such as the methods used to achieve it. This activity helps students develop their understanding of historical context and social change.
3. English: Students can be asked to compare and contrast different characters in a story, such as Romeo and Juliet. They can identify similarities, such as their passion for each other, and differences, such as their family backgrounds. This activity helps students develop their understanding of character development and storytelling.
4. Math: Students can be asked to compare and contrast different mathematical concepts, such as addition and multiplication. They can identify similarities, such as both involving the combining of numbers, and differences, such as the way the numbers are combined. This activity helps students develop their understanding of mathematical operations and problem-solving.
5. Social Studies: Students can be asked to compare and contrast different cultures, such as the customs and traditions of Japan and Brazil. They can identify similarities, such as the importance of family, and differences, such as the type of food or clothing. This activity helps students develop their understanding of cultural diversity and global perspectives.

1. Math - Quickdraw fractions: Students are given a fraction, such as 3/4 or 2/5, and they have to quickly draw a picture to represent the fraction. For example, if the fraction is 3/4, the student can draw a rectangle and shade in three out of four parts.
2. Science - Quickdraw organisms: Students are given a list of organisms, such as a frog, a tree, and a butterfly, and they have to quickly draw a picture of each organism. This activity can help students improve their observation skills and learn about the diversity of living things.
3. English - Quickdraw characters: Students are given a character from a book or a story, such as Harry Potter or Cinderella, and they have to quickly draw a picture of the character. This activity can help students visualize the characters they are reading about and develop their comprehension skills.
4. History - Quickdraw timelines: Students are given a historical event, such as the American Revolution or the Civil Rights Movement, and they have to quickly draw a timeline of the important events leading up to and following the event. This activity can help students develop their understanding of history and improve their ability to organize information.
5. Art - Quickdraw still life: Students are given a collection of objects, such as a vase, a cup, and a fruit, and they have to quickly draw a still life composition using those objects. This activity can help students improve their drawing skills and develop their creativity.

This is my go-to method for helping the students I tutor come up with topics that they can write papers about, as sometimes they can be overwhelmed by choice. There have been plenty of times where a student doesn't know how they may want to approach an essay, so by mind-mapping it out we come to discover together a whole range of options. It is also a very good way to do icebreakers in small groups by using something known as a "Mind Map of Interests" where they can talk about their shared interests; in fact this is how I teach students how to make a Mind Map.
