· Readability: Font type/size is important for a snapchat filter, as we want our logo to be fun to use and to look good – It will be placed at the bottom of the screen with a rainbow effect casted slightly over the top, so it’s still easily visible and easy to read.

· Colour: eye catching and enjoyable colours will be used to attract our target market to use the filter and hopefully share or story their image – helping us to raise awareness.

We have a line up of both speakers and artist all of which have been openly supportive of the LGBTQI community. For the artists, who each have their own personal logos, I have edited them to give them the ‘pride’ look, with the artists’ permission. All of the artists’ logos will be put against a simple black wallpaper to ensure the rainbow is emphasised. I have chosen the simple design as it clearly sends the ‘pride’ message to the audience. I have also designed the artists’ logos so they can be printed onto black shirts and sold at stands near the stage. With my experience in the Screen Arts course, I was able to provide a stable, single-minded focus over the entirety of the project. Firstly, I gathered all the appropriate cinematographers, cameramen, editors, composers, costume-designers, casting directors etc. While gathering these people, I worked with Savage and a Screenwriter to brainstorm how we were going to structure and condense Dan’s experiences into a short amount of time. We eventually formed a script and worked on story-boarding how we wanted each scene filmed. After completion of the storyboard, I moved to assisting the Casting-Director with choosing the actors. We chose the appropriate actors to represent a younger Dan Savage and his respective family members and classmates etc. I then consulted with the appropriate costume-designers to create an authentic looking attire for the time period (late 1970s). I then entered the shooting stage with the cinematographers and cameramen. We filmed each scene as planned in the storyboard, making minor improvised adjustments when necessary. While filming, I also worked with the actors so that they understood what was required of each scene. Next, I communicated the atmosphere, tone, and meaning of each scene with the composer, making sure an effective musical score was produced. Lastly, I supervised the editor as he cut the film into the final product. The film is now ready to play at the start of the festival.
