This is a great way to assess your students because they are able to show that they actually comprehended what we talked about that day. This is also proves that they were paying attention during the lesson. I have seen this posted in teachers classrooms before and I think that is is such a simple and stress free way to do a check on the students. This type os assessment can work with any subject!

I love this graphic organizer as a formative assessment! I think that it is a great way that the students can show that they learned new things as well as give them an opportunity to ask some questions that they may have had from the lesson.

Student being able to assess their own learning is so important. By them being able to have the chance to be honest with themselves, it will help them learn the material. This will also help the teacher be able to see who she needs to pull into small groups.

This formative assessment is a great tool. It is very similar to a KWL chart. The students get to say what they already knew about a topic, what they learned, and what is still confusing to them. I think that this would work great in science and social studies lessons.

This emoji exit ticket is one of my favorite exit tickets. The students will enjoy this so much because of the emojis. This could be used in any subject. I love that there are so many different choices to chose from too so every student will have an opportunity to feel like they can chose one.

Giving the students the chance to answer how they feel about the lesson is a huge advantage of the teacher as well as the students. It helps the teacher see who needs the remediation and it helps the students be able to show that they are super confident in the lesson or give them a chance to be honest and ask for more help. This would would with all subjects.

These math exit slips are such a wonderful idea. This is a great way to see if the students actually got it. You are able to see if they will need more help or if they have gotten it. My CT uses this in the form of a sticky note and gives the students a problem. Once they solve it they bring it up to her and if they got it right them are sent to centers and if they got it wrong then they have to get their math journals and go to the carpet for remediation. I think this works so well!

Having the students write down everything they learned in a lesson in only five words will really make them use their minds and it will really show that they were listening and paying attention during the lesson. They will also find it to be a fun challenge to try and figure out how to out it into only 5 words. This would be best used in science and social studies lessons

This is another one of my favorites. Putting up an answer before the lesson to give the kids a way to start their thinking is a great tool. They will have to come up with a question that will go with the answer that is on the board. This is best used in science and social studies lessons.
