Author: Patricia McKissack
Read on: 10/16
The author of this book uses childhood memories to create a story about a young girl named Tricia. It is a beautiful picture book that shares the experiences a girl faces through her journey in a segregated southern town. Tricia is on her way to a special place which is revealed in the end of the book. I would recommend this book for 2-3rd grade.
