         <description><![CDATA[<div><mark> -</mark>He believed children were active learners and that they needed to use their motor skills in order to enhance their cognitive development<br><mark>-</mark>Piaget created a system of 4 states of development, which include Sensori-motor stage, Pre-operational stage, Concrete operations, and Formal operation. <br><mark>-</mark>The first stage is from birth to 2 years, which allows children explore their motor skills and sense <br><mark>-</mark>The second stage is from 2 to 7 years and Piaget recognizes that some call this the 'illogical phase' as children are unable to think in conserved masses.<br><mark>-</mark>The third stage is from 7 to 12 years and are able to think more logically and are able to effectively think mathematically even if they need some assistance with it.<br><mark>-</mark>The final stage is from 12 years of age and on, in which children and young adults are able to think much more abstractly and are able handle more complex information<br>-Piaget's overall message is that children are much different than adults in their mental maturation, and because of this, they require more physical stimulus in order to learn the way their brains work best</div>]]></description>
