Cooperative is social, collaborative has more components from the lesson including academic vocabulary, products, etc...In collaborative learning teacher can be more of a helicopter. There are more learning processes observable in collaborative learning. 

There may be more modeling/demonstrating needed.

Collaborative provides more opportunities for pulling students for direct instruction.
