Today the headlines are extra scary, and the government is recommending we stay home and even avoid the grocery store, which they normally have not kept us from in the past few weeks. Thankfully, I was able to get my shopping done at Publix yesterday. I had to stand in line for 15 minutes outside because they are only allowing 15 customers at a time. Even outside we are kept 6 feet apart. That is the general rule everywhere you go. Inside Publix, EVERYONE had on a mask. Before, only about half of the shoppers were wearing them. I have had a hard time finding some items. Publix still does not have Lysol, but I was able to find that at Walmart yesterday. Basically, if you want something like toilet paper, Lysol, paper towels, or sanitizing wipes, you have to get to the store super early and wait for them to open so you can be the first person to get it. That's right, it's amazing how much less stress there is when there is more freedom of time. Sure, I have tons of housework and schoolwork to do, but on some level, I can manage my own time and take care of my responsibilities with LESS pressure because I don't necessarily have a strict deadline. And, my start and end times are better. I like starting work later (8:30 vs. 7:30), and I like ending my day earlier (1:30 vs 3:00). I like being able to get up in the 15 minutes I have between classes to get a cup of coffee, to take the dog outside for a bathroom break, to prepare a quick breakfast for my kids, to write out a few bills, or even to watch the news for a few minutes! I am much happier with this freedom of time. It seems we all are. My kids like having the freedom to start and end their school days on M, W,  and F. It's amazing how freedom can alleviate stress, even on the smallest of levels.
