Question 1

Overall, what did you think of this experience?

I think it was a good experience made it feel like how hard it is to having a baby while still in school just a little. It was very tiring carrying the baby everywhere until you get home and making sure it isn’t damaged. At least I didn’t have to change and feed it since it was a doll, but if it wasn’t then it would be a lot harder. Though I wish I didn’t have to take it apart at school and kept it at home for my other relatives.

Question 2

What was the best part of this experience?

The best part of the experience was taking care of the baby. Though it was tiring but also fun. Since my own family had fun calling me father for the week. Also, talking to others about there’s and comparing to theirs with others.

Question 3

What was the worst part of this experience?

The worst part of the experience was to keep the flour from coming out of the baby. Even with plastic wrap and duct tape it was still hard to keep the flour in. Most of it was due from shaking the baby while some may be holding the baby to hard and the flour goes to one place of the baby. Answering questions with at least 5 sentences for each one.

Question 4

How was this experience like having your own child?

I would have to be with the child closely 24/7 and make sure it doesn’t hurt herself when I’m not carrying her. Also I would have to always have the baby checked up from time to time to make sure nothings wrong. I had to carry the baby in a way where it not hurting them though it may be uncomfortable sometimes.

Question 5

Are you ready to have a child as a teenager? Why or why not?

No, I may know how to raise a baby but I’m not mature enough to have one. What I mean is that I’m still in school living with my family. How can i raise a baby if I’m being raised myself. I still don’t have a job yet to pay for the babies expenses and stuff.

Question 6

When do you feel would be the appropriate time for you to have your first child?

For me the most appropriate time to have a bay is when I finish my education for the most part. Like, I can’t raising a baby when I have classes that would take up a lot of my time for my studies. When I’m in college I would be focused on my debts and my majors. Also, when me and my partner decide to have one then it would be time.

Day 1

Explain how you think you would react if you found out you were having a baby as a teen. Explain how you would feel, who you would tell, etc.

If I got the message that I am being a father when still in school I would be in confusion upon thinking on how to handle this situation in the future. I also would be questioning if this was really my baby since I’m very careful with what I do. I will be happy in a sense since I’m going to be a father if this my baby. I obviously would tell my parents before this goes out of hand and contact the partner and her parents. Unless it’s okay for all who were involved we could tell close friends that can be trusted. In the future I would start preparing and training myself for what’s to come for the baby like child support, who takes care of the baby, and etc.

Day 2

How would you handle the delivery of your child as a teen? Explain how you would react, fears, who you would want there with you and possible conflicts with you and the other parent to be etc.

While the delivery is happening I would be very worried. Like, what if something during the procedure that the partner and the baby would be harmed. Would the baby have no symptoms and be as healthy as possible? My number one fear of the procedure would be if the baby and the partner could make it alive after the birth. I would want my closest members of my family since I know that they won’t spread bad rumors or degrade me for having kids to early. When the baby arrives the conflict I might have would be talking with my partner’s parents and they would most likely be displeased, but I hope they it would help with the baby growing up.

Day 3

Write about what you think would be most difficult about being a teen parent, including how your life would differ from your friends who are not parents.

I think the most difficult thing about being a teen parent is ignoring the rumors and people talking behind your back about you being a very young parent. Friends that don’t understand the situation might distance themselves from you to not be involved in it. Another hard part about it would be the stares you would get in the hallway or classroom. The event might get onto social media online or offline. It would be more difficult to ignore it when it’s time for lunch when others single you out.

Day 4

Explain reasons why the teen pregnancy rate is high in this country. Include reasons why some teens might want a baby.

The reason teen pregnancy is high in this country is due to people’s carelessness, goals, mistakes, and desire. People can sometime be controlled by their sexual desires which may causes pregnancies to happen. In another case teens may try sex but does not want one to be pregnant which use a condom, or pill but sometimes doesn’t turn out well. Few teens may want to have a child early on so they intentionally have a baby. They may want to have a family with that partner or just adore children to the point of having their own. In darker cases a person may rape more than one person causing more than one person having a child. Teens without guidance may have sex without knowing an better of the consequences . In most cases it was due to carelessness of the two people that they end up having a child.

Day 5

What types of responsibilities need to be split when having a child as a teenager? As an adult? How do you go about deciding who does what and when? (Ex. Overnight feedings, diaper changes, etc.)

The responsibilities of taking the baby are feeding, changing, playing with, and checking to the doctors with. When feeding the baby most of that responsibility will got to the mother since she will be breast feeding her most of the time. Changing will be on both of us since we will be there equally. Going to the doctor will depend on the time we will go like at night or in the morning. We will both be playing with as much as possible since we have school, and/or work. As an adult we would discuss this with my partner and parents.

Day 6

Explain your thoughts of the show “Teen Mom” on MTV and what type of message and/or influence it has on teenage viewers.

Day 7

Explain the options that teenagers have when they become pregnant.

They could have the option to give away the baby, do abortion, or actually raise it. In cases such as this you have to consider if you're ready to raise a baby or completely lost on what to do. So some take the easy way out an abort the baby which is understandable. For those that don’t want to abort the baby and give it a chance to live they could either give it to a relative that willingly wants to raise it for them or take it to the orphanage. Those that are up for it they might take better lessons on raising the baby so it could have a good life.
