I believe that the Holocaust was a major influence for the UN to create this article, seeing as how the Jews were facing genocide and horrible treatment by the Nazis. The UN probably realized that other nations face racism and how unfair and terrible it is and decided to take action.

During World War II, the government needed support from the people and wanted to help the troops. Due to that circumstance, they made this article where people come together to build unity, and brotherhood spirits to help each other out. They help support the war as well, by not wasting food, gas, and oils, so that they could be used by the armies. They are free to do anything they wanted in order to help like creating a victory garden and such. I believe that this was the reason behind Article 1.

In world War ll, the mass genocides for example the Holocaust or the Russian Civilians, may have lead up to the making of Article 3. The forcing into concentration camps may have also lead up to the making of Article 3. I believe that this article is being somewhat upheld in 2021 because there are still times where people are being murdered. For example, recently there was an incident where an old Asian man was murdered. There was also the death of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor due to police violence.
