Jesus was born to a woman named Mary of Nazareth. An angel came to her one day and told her she would be barring the birth of the child of god. She was hesitant at first but said yes of course. Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem. He grew up in a small town with a population of about 300-400 people. Housaes were close together and news spread around quickly. His parents Mary and joesph were devote Jews and Jesus followed along in those footsteps. The first people that came to see him what he was born were the Magi’s or Wisemen. They came barring gifts. This meant that’s Jesus came specifically to save the common people.

John the Baptist was baptizing people to bless them and prepare the way of the lord. John was baptizing in the Jordan river when he said “Someone mightier than I is coming” with the Holy Spirit. Jesus came from Galilee to Jordan to be baptized by John.

Wedding at Cana:
Jesus was at a wedding with Mary and his disciples. When they realized there was no more wine at the wedding Mary said to Jesus “They have no wine.” Jesus replied “Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come.” Mary then replies with “do whatever he tells you.” With this Jesus tells them to fill the six water jars with water and then pour a Little out of each one. then he told them to give the water to the head waiter to taste. The headwaiter tasted the water and when they did it was wine.

Call of the disciples:
Jesus calls his disciples to prepare the way of the lord and to bring them to God. He calls John spread the word of the messiah. With this he begins to Baptist people.

“Forgive God as God Forgave you”
We learn that If you hold onto the things that people may do to you to harm you it wont do any good, only more harm. Living a life full of forgiveness is better than living a life not liking people because of the things they have done to you. We need to learn how to move past bad things in our lives.

There was a woman who suffered with hemorrhages. She had been suffering with this for 12 years and went to many different doctors with no cure for her. She went to Jesus in hopes of being healed. She went up behind Jesus and touched the tassel on his cloak. She was instantly healed. Jesus realized what had happened and said “Who touched me?” No one answered and so he says “Someone has touched me; for I know that power has gone out from me.” When the woman realizes that her touching him has not lost attention she comes forward to Jesus scared beyond measures falling before him explaining where reasoning for touching him and explaining what happened when she did. He replies with “Daughter, your faith has saved you; go in peace.” Jesus has a sense of welcome and when he senses that she truly has faith in him and believes Jesus restores her with a miracle from him without having to say or do anything. He Preforms miracles to strengthen the faith of the people that believe and to help people believe that he is here, god is here, and will always be here.

Parable of the Good Samaritan - Luke 10:25-37
This story tells us about a man who wishes to reach eternal life but doesn’t know how so he asks Jesus. The meaning is that if you treat people with kindness that kindness will come back around to you. This teaches us that God doesn’t just give people things when they want them and let them do whatever they want especially if they aren’t a kind person. One takeaway from this that you can apply to your own life is to always treat people with kindness because it’s the right thing to do and that kindness that you put out will come back to you.

The last supper: Jesus’s last day alive and his last dinner. he knew he was going tp nbe betrayed by one of his disciples. He brought them all together to celebrate Passover and his last night alive. He gave them some words to carry on. He spoke about what it means to be a disciple of god, loving service to one another and the world, and what will come in the next few days following his death. He asked them to continue these annual gatherings to remember him and this is how we get the eucharist
Like jesus sensed one of his apostles Judas betrayed him and turned him into the church because of his outspoken ideals. These things Jesus said angered the Roman’s and Jews because they went against some of the things the Jews and Roman’s believed in. The Jews didnt know what to do with jesus for punishment. Ponchelonchegus didnt have an opinion on what to do at all so they handed him to the Roman’s too make the final decision essentially resulting in his death of being hung on a cross with nails hammered into his body
