It was prepared by the Australian unemployed workers union and consists of an opinion piece that will be circulated around the members of the union in the monthly newsletter. The purpose of this is to inform people of the opinion held by the union. Another section of the campaign are posters and a Facebook page and memes that can be easily shared across platforms and posted ob buildings and notice boards which will help spread the unions message. An online petition has also been created so that people can made another way to take action against the bill. The final part of the campaign is a general overview of the issue which will be on the union website. The purpose of this is so that if people are wishing for more information, they can simply visit the website. It will also provide information on what people can do to take action against the bill. This campaign is aimed towards union members and the general public.

You picked a very topical and controversial issue. Your approach was creative and innovative (loved that you were the Unemployed Workers' Union). Your campaign demonstrated a lot of thought and creativity, ranging from mainstream op ed pieces, online petition to website information, and a social media campaign. The visuals/graphics were very good - striking to say the least (and I loved the Simpsons memes; also the campaign poster gunning for PMs wee. The various pieces cohered very well suggesting strong team effort. g_tavan https://padlet.com/casarettoc/ov4guzmndo9y/wish/412512690 The analysis was generally strong if a little uneven ( for example, a lot of emphasis in op ed and web page was put on the rights and liberties of welfare recipients and much less on the impracticality of the scheme in terms of policing, and what happens to those people with drug problems and mental illness if they lose their benefits). I think you could have made more of your statistical data . I am not sure the Pros vs Cons debate page completely worked - you want to draw attention away from pros -not fuel the thinking of those who already agree. I think there was also an opportunity here to humanise those on newstart - perhaps some profiles or a reminder of how many mistakes Robodebt has made?
