I didn't build my boat exactly how i planned because i used tin foil and I didn't put a cup on top of the raft. I did this because i knew that tin foil floated so i decided to make walls with it. I didn't put a cup on top of it because it was just way to big for the raft. 

overall my experience building my boat was good. The design cycle, or prototyping, helped because if I only tested it at the end it would't have worked.

The design cycle process was similar in the Marshmallow and Boat Building Challenges  because we all investigated first. It was different because it had different materials. I found the marshmallow challenge harder because I didn't know what prototyping is. I found boat building easier because I prototyped.   • I did/did not build my boat exactly as I planned it because at first the boat had a big gap in the front so i reinforced the hole thing in tin foil  
  • Changes I made to my plan while building were reinforced. The whole thing in tin foil  I made these changes because there was a gap in the front if the boat 
Part 3: How was your experience?  
  • Overall, my experience building my boat was pretty good
  • The design cycle, or prototyping, helped with this challenge because it helped to follow the steps

  • The design cycle process was similar in the Marshmallow and Boat Building Challenges because they both stood/floated. It was different because i feel like i did a better job at the boat build then the marshmallow challenge 
  • I found boat Challenge easier and marshmallow Challenge more difficult because i had a good idea/plan what i was gonna do for the boat build and was more prepared 
  • Lessons I’ve learned are have a good idea on what to do and don't rush.

Overall, my experience building my boat was good, I was able to build a boat that floats. The design cycle, or prototyping, helped with this challenge because it helped me to think and plan my design and it helped me to test out my plan to see if it would work.The design cycle process was similar in the Marshmallow and Boat Building Challenges because we had to build something and test out our plan. It was different because one you had to make a boat and the other one we had to make a tower. I found the boat challenge easier and the marshmallow challenge more difficult because my tower kept falling when I built my marshmallow tower. I met all the requirements. First, 20 pennies or more can hold on the boat. Second, the boat floated without any pennies and with them too. Third, the boat was standing for 180 seconds or more.

My boat holds 9 pennies. It did not flow for very long with the pennies. But it floated without them. 
The Boat floats for 12 seconds with the pennies.
I learned that sometimes you are going to have to change your work because you won't always get it right on the first time, So you have to try your hardest and it's ok to fail.

I did not build my boat exactly as I planned it because I put tin foil around the straws.  Changes I made to my plan while building were putting tin foil around the straws. I made these changes because I didn’t want water to get in the straws.

The design cycle process was similar in the Marshmallow and Boat Building Challenges because we had to plan. It was different because we were building different  things. I found the boat building challenge easier and marshmallow Challenge more difficult because it was very hard getting the tower in the marshmallow challenge to stand up. Lessons I’ve learned are to never give up. If I gave up I would not have gotten my tower to stand up or my boat to float.

- I could not put a picture because when my boat sunk, it was ruined and fell apart. Overall the challenge went well for me and it was really fun. I am proud of what i built and if i could do it again i would change it only a little bit to make it stronger and so it could hold he weight of 100+ pennies/ quarters.
I varied from my plan a lot an it payed off. I also prototyped a lot too.
