The Hidden Staircase by Carolyn Keene is a mystery story about Nancy Drew, a young detective who has taken a case to investigate a stolen pearl necklace in the Twin Elms mansion. The suspect at the moment, (pg 31) a ghost. Today new evidence came up and much like some of the characters I predict a ghost or non-human figure has stolen the family jewels.

In this mystery story by Carolyn Keene Nancy Drew took a case and is now (pg 95) having multiple close encounters with a ghost in the Twin Elms mansion and she is getting closer to finding the secrets of the ghost and solving her mystery.

The Hidden Staircase by Carolyn Keene has taken the mystery to a whole new level with not only one but two cases at the same time. while Nancy Drew is investigating the Twin Elms ghost mystery she receives news that her father is coming home but he never does and she goes through every possible place he could be and when she questions a taxi driver she learns her father was drugged and kidnapped.

In Nancy Drew's The Hidden Staircase Nancy and her friend Helen have found themselves with a new idea that a man named Gomber could be responsible for Mr. Drew's kidnapping, Then they end up in a car chase trying to catch up to Gomber but he gets away as they report all their findings to the police Gomber makes his way to Twin Elms and buys it from Helens aunt while she was vulnerable and alone.

The young children have started to fight as Micah grew older and Nick felt like he wasn't loved. Their mother solved all the problems by asking them to name nice things they did for each other and they started to get along more but their peaceful life was cut short as they moved back to California from Nebraska.

In their past the kids have now moved back to California from Nebraska and their parents have reunited and given the kids more room in the bigger house. In the present day the brothers have gotten to Lima Peru but before they left Guatemala they met an elderly woman that reminded them of their mother and they reminded her of her sons.

The kids young lives seemed very exciting as they describe their frequent vacations to San Diego and how they drifted apart as they got older yet they still did the same dangerous things like jumping of the bridge in their town or rope swinging over the river, but through all that and after, the narrator Nick describes feeling left out or forgotten as a child because he was never applauded or given gifts.

While describing the past Nick reveals how he struggled to keep up with everything as he was obsessed with his grades, training for track and field, and having a girlfriend while working a job. Him and Micah were also becoming closer as they both ran track and started to have the same friends. In the present the brothers are in Australia at Ayers rock which they both thought was kind of boring during most parts except the sun rise and set as the rock changes color and the flies go away.

During the present day they have been to a few more sights but because they were more historical and wasn't as interesting unless you like mythology, but during their past Nick has gotten married to Cathy and been on their honeymoon. Nicks mom is retired and she rides horses now but while she was riding she fell and was injured badly, so many relatives and Dana and Micah all came because she might not make it.

As we follow the past we see Dana have a seizure, and they later find out she has a brain tumor. This causes the whole family to come together for her but after her removal and CAT scans revealing her recovery their dad spirals out of control spending money he doesn't have, get a police dog, and dating women that are using him Micah and Nick have no idea what to do with him.
