My view of this report

My feeling about this issue

My feelings about the news

I believe this invention is benefit to the policemen. For example, the speed of solving the case will faster because policemen are able to identify whether suspects say lies, so that find the real crimes. Maybe it will decrease the rate of crime.

But when I making the PPT, I find it is not easy. Fortunately, Jessica teaches us some tips of making it, Firstly we can use keywords, charts, pictures, and datas. Don't use longer sentences because audience should notice listening instead of reading. And then speak clearly, we ought to pay attention to the pronunciation of the words, each word has its own heavy syllables. Lastly practice, practice, practice, this will make your presentation more clear and fluent.

I think this experience helps me a lot, I used to put many words in my PPT and always nervous when I speaking. but when I used this tips and practiced a lot before presentation. I find I was confident and felt good when I talking. I know I also need to improve a lot on it. And I'll keep getting better at this.

Digital addiction can lead to loneliness. Throughout these mock exams, I found some tips to pass the exam. For example, when attending  reading and listening exam, we can look at the problems first, and then read some articles or listen to lectures with a purpose. And I also discovered  I am not familiar with some words and can’t understand them right now. I need to listen to English more.

As for writing and presentation, i will revise according to the feedback given by the teacher, and i believe that as long as I take these feedback ,i can pass the final exam.

The summary of the news

This report presents the case that  Stella Sibonga and her husband want to discover but Philippines government doesn’t permit it. Sibonga is currently legal separated from her husband for many years and in a stable relationship, but neither can legally remarry or have sex with another person. And couples can legally separate only in cases of abuse, infidelity or at least six years of imprisonment for their partner. Supporters of social change in the Philippines are fighting for the right to divorce now.

My view of this news

In my opinion,  The report convincingly uses a specific case to show the irrationality of Philippine law. And the structure of report very clean,  Sibonga's story runs through it, interspersed with demands for separation, Philippine history, and possible changes to divorce law.

My feelings about the news

I believe this discover law is very unreasonable. Because it seriously damages people's freedom, as Sibonga said:’why some people who have experienced pain, abandonment and abuse will be punished by law?’

The summary of the report

This report shows the phenomenon of “lying down”in China. t started during the COVID-19 pandemic when one guy commented on the website: “Lying flat is my wise movement.”and then many young Chinese agree that, they want to relax after working long time. Even after the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, the culture of lying down has not improved. And then while Chinese government said working long time was illegal, the the phenomenon of lying down has not improved.

My view of this report

I think  the structure of this article very clear, examples are also persuasive. however, the reasons why young people lying flat is not deep enough. In my opinion, the story could have dug deeper for some specific reasons so the story would have looked more complete.

My feeling  about this issue

I think there are deeper reasons for this phenomenon of “lying down”in China.  First of all, this is not an era in which hard work can lead to success. Maybe 20 years ago, people could earn money as long as they were willing to work hard, but now even if they work for a long time, they can't earn much money because the economic environment is not good. Secondly  young people pay more attention to human rights  because they realize  capitalists always keep the surplus value of the working people. In conclusion, I believe people can not earn much money and pay more attention to human rights also are reasons for  phenomenon of “lying down”.

The first thing is when I was presenting the ppt, the computer suddenly went wrong, causing some contents not to be displayed, which affected the rhythm of my speech, and I also forgot some words. I was really devastated.This incident has also brought me some lessons. In the future, before giving a speech, I will carefully check whether the computer will make mistakes and be fully prepared. The second thing is that my score in the mock writing test is super low. I made a lot of elementary mistakes in writing, and the structure of the essay is not very clear, which makes me realize that I can't take writing lightly.

Overall, the thing I learned this week is, don't take your exams lightly and take your exams seriously, and I believe I will pass the final exam.
