         <title>spinning jenny-1764</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In the middle ages many people and workers where using spinning wheels to make thread. But, there was a problem the spinning wheels could only make one thread at a time. Eventually in 1764 a man named Edmund Cartwright invented a machine called the spinning Jenny. the spinning Jenny could produce multiple threads at a time and it made making thread for clothes much faster while only spinning a wheel. This  helped society and textile factory because they had more supplies, and more supplies meant more clothes and money.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Child labor was used in the 1800s to their advantage. For example people would hire children so the can work and squeeze into broken machines or around them to fix machines and change spindles. The children also did not get paid a lot because the children did not need money for houses and farm machines. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>interchangleble parts where inveted in 1798 by Whitney. Whitney started by making muskets in the first factory to rely on interchangle parts. Interchangable parts soon spread to other items such as clocks and locks. Interchangable parts helped the society because it saved money and time, for example if somebody broke their gun  they would just buy a new part that was broken not the whole thing again saving money.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In the 1800s there was a  greater amount of people living in farms than cities, but as urbanization populated, people stared moving to the city for job opportunities and factory jobs. Old cities expanded rapidly from the profit of factories. This helped the society by giving a lot more people jobs. The city's also had nice shops and places to buy materials and food. Instead of growing your own food. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In the early 1800s cities started to be built around factories. in 1812 Francis Cabot Lowell had an idea his idea was to build a factory would spin thread and weave the thread into cloth. This helped society by being able to buy clothes straight from the factories and shops instead of having to make their own. When lowell died his partners made a village named after him. Later the company hired young girls to come the the village and work 12 hours a day in the mills.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Iron plow-1825</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In 1825 new inventions came around to improve efficiency with farming. One of those farm tools was a iron plow, created by jethro wood. he began manufacturing the iron plow making replaceable parts for it. Soon after John Deere began to improve the design making it lightweight for farmers and horses. This invention was helpful to society because farmers would be able to just walk this  the steel plow, and horse making farming much easier and more food available faster.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In 1834 Philo Stewart invented a cast iron stove small enough to fit in a kitchen. This invention helped society by letting people cook their food inside insted of having to cook outside with the risk of rain, or animals eating your food. Philo Stewart sold 90,000 and had success with this new invention. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In 1844 Samuel.F.B Morse was awarded for creating a telagraph also known as a talking wire. The telegraph sent electrical signals down a wire. This helped scientist advance with electricity. Samuel Morse also created a code with long lines and short lines including dots and spaces and it soon became Morse code.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In  1847 Cyrus McCormick invented a new farming tool, the mechanical reaper. The mechanical reaper was a machine made for horses that pulled behind the horse and cut and gathered wheat. The mechanical reaper could do the work of 5 men with just one man. This helped farmers work way quicker and produce more food much faster.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In 1846 Elias Howe invented a sewing machine that would make sewing much faster. Soon after Isaac singer improved the design and the iddea expanded. sewing companies bought hundreds of sewing machines at a time making sewing way faster. This really helped out clothing and textile industry by making clothes almost 10 times faster.</p>]]></description>
