I got to travel outside of gilgit for the first time when i was 15. went to Islamabad.. The camp was based in Abbotabad.. went to some beautiful places like shogran. Got to meet so many people from all across pakistan. so the key words would be diversity, culture, nature and travel..

It was the first even GE Camp in Pakistan so it held a special place.

I was very anxious about my English back then and I remember having a conversation with Mwalim Zamir and he said I was very mature for my age (and I did even consider to be a good speaker at all)
Connect 2020 July. Awesome team, loved the unitedness and it was transferred to the participants as well. Also the videos have given a whole new perspective to the camp.
Connect 2020 Dec. It was as much great as July also we had so many more surprises

After the camp (scouts and guides camp) just sitting with a group of new friends I made and that was the first time I realised that we had made such a strong bond which would not have been possible without this camp.

I loved doing a youth camp as a teenager. That’s where my true and everlasting friendships bloomed.

Being a counselor for the first camp in Los Angeles, and having 13 year olds as my participants, and now having a 13 year old makes me appreciate being a kind and gentle parent to my child because I got that other perspective.
