I don’t particularly like the idea of cutting into nature especially when is such a small and fragile thing like a leaf. Yes it looks really nice and you can see the time and effort it took to make this kind of work, but its really destructive. I believe that in itself is also a metaphor for the artist about having a destructive mindset as well however. His work is exceptional inspiring, especially how he works with nature. He takes elements that the earth has already provided and makes something new out of them. Its not just breaking something small or moving things around, he actively changes the environment that nature thrives in and makes it entirely new. As much animation works it takes a long time to capture the element if movement realistically, and smoothly.
