Before the beginning of this module, I only knew the bare basics of the fine art of painting. I knew the some of the most famous artisans from various eras, Michelangelo, Raphael, Da Vinci, Rembrandt, Botticelli, etc. I knew about famous paintings like the Mona Lisa, The Night Watch, The Birth of Venus, and many, many more. These men were the masters of their art and their art were masterpieces that resonate in culture to this day.

When the module began, I learned so much more than I expected to about the art of painting, the most I learned was from the lesson about the Stanza della Segnatura and the formal conventions and innovations contained within. One of these conventions being the representation of virtues and liberal arts with human avatars. This was also in reference to both Cambio and Borgia.
