The movie I have chosen is The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, it is based on a real story and was filmed in multiple locations in the United States for example Milwaukee, Beverley Hills and Los Angeles. However the location that I am going to be discussing is Milwaukee, this is where he had committed his crimes from around 1970s to 1990s. Milwaukee is known as "Brew City" as it has a reputation for drinking and brewing beer. They have breweries that have been opened for over a century. This became a huge hit as Milwaukee has a lot of German immigrants, and since then they introduced their beer making skills making it become one of the main reasons for tourism within Milwaukee.

The crimes that Jeffrey Dahmer committed had a significant impact on Milwaukee, it has completely changed how the city is perceived. The case became known worldwide and many documentaries and movies were created to make awareness for what had happened. This has brought a lot of change and attention to the city, which led to the rise in dark tourism in the area as people were drawn to locations and events that were related with Dahmer's case, certain areas have become a tourist attraction because of attachment to what had occurred and they want to see it in real life which is why they travel to the city. Owing to the fact that this was because the show Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story came out it got a lot of exposure making people book dark tourism tours that relate to his case. When tourist go to bars where he preyed on for his next victims and they even go to the apartment blocks that he lived in. As a result of this tourists spent around 3.3 million dollars and this opened up new jobs for the locals which amounted to over 40,000 job vacancies.

What Dahmer has done also created a larger cultural impact on society because it has lead people to openly discuss more about mental health, criminal justice and lastly societal issues. The current generation is quite popular with the internet and how to use their platforms, it has increased content creation and has led a fascination with Dahmer, it has created a wide surge and has been leading people into doing podcasts and writing books on the issue. Dahmer's story because an international story which led to Lionel Dahmer, Jeffreys father. To write a book about raising a serial killer. His book 'A Father's Story' was first published in 1997. There was a wide range of books and documentaries about Dahmer, however one of those were of his final days before passing. One way they can achieve this is through augmented reality (AR), where they can develop and app that is like google maps with the 3d view where they can point their camera at a historical building or monument and it will tell you information on the event that happened there. On the other hand they can also have a themed virtual reality tour, where they can experience the music festivals, brewery tour or certain events that happened. Lastly they can use content creators and influencers for partnerships and let them show people local events and unique experiences in Milwaukee to draw in more attention.
