I believe I'm a spontaneous person. I call myself a 'side-quest daughter because whenever I have time, I would be wherever my feet can bring me. I love going to the gym, I would go twice a day if I have time. Plus, I love to walk—I'd actually prefer walking over riding a vehicle, especially when I'm on one of my side-quest adventures. I also love drinking coffee; one of my favorite places to visit are the coffee shops around davao, and I actually have a list. Interestingly, even though I'm lactose intolerant, I still drink milk on a daily basis. It helps me sleep at night—maybe it’s a habit I’ve had since I was young. I'm also an animal lover—if I could be any animal, I'd probably be either a cat or a dog. Music plays a big part in my life as well, as someone who likes creating playlist on every occasion. I find baking to be really comforting, especially on rainy days. They’re two things I really enjoy.

Since I was still an infant, I don’t remember any of these moments myself, but my family told me stories about how delicate and dependent I was, always needing to be cradled, carried, and comforted, and how my giggles could brighten even their most tiring days. I learned that I had unique habits and characteristics even then, like easily falling asleep when swayed in my crib or duyan, enjoying closeness with my family, drinking a lot of milk, and naturally bringing joy to those around me, which I believe showed my personal and social qualities. Even if I can’t recall these experiences, the photos and stories my family shares prove that I was deeply loved, cared for, and already starting to develop traits that would shape how I grow, interact, and connect with others.

During my toddler years, I still couldn’t remember much, but my family loved telling me stories about how I started walking at eleven months, how I would crawl between the sofas and suddenly stand up to run around, and how I only started talking when I was two, which made everyone worry and try funny things like giving me the butt of a chicken to help me speak. Hearing these stories, I realized I was already curious, independent, and a little stubborn, always wanting to explore and do things on my own, and I could see how these little habits and moments shaped the person I was starting to become. Even if I don’t remember doing any of it myself, knowing these stories makes me feel like I was already learning how to move, discover, and interact with the world in my own way.

During my preschool years, I had a strong drive to study, join school events, and explore simple forms of creativity, like performing in class, memorizing poems for competitions, dressing up for Flores de Mayo, or having fun posing for photos, which showed how curious, determined, and expressive I was even as a little child, and how much I enjoyed learning and discovering new things. I developed habits like finishing my homework before eating, practicing for competitions, and trying my best in every activity, and these experiences helped me gain confidence, discipline, and a sense of achievement, reflecting my personal, social, and functional qualities, while also allowing me to enjoy being part of something bigger than myself. Looking back, all these small victories, awards, stage performances, and moments of play shaped how I grew, learned, connected with others, and developed traits that would guide my identity and the way I approach challenges, creativity, and relationships even as I got older.

During my elementary years, I still spent most of my time studying and joining competitions, which made me disciplined and determined, but I also enjoyed going to different places with my family, exploring outdoors and seeing new things. I had unique habits like balancing schoolwork with joining events, and I liked learning new things while still having fun with activities that interested me. Looking back, I think in this stage I showed personal qualities like being hardworking and curious, intellectual qualities through my love of learning, social qualities by joining group events, and physical qualities through being active and exploring the outdoors.

Adolescence was like an alarm—it woke me to life, teaching me that things wouldn’t always go my way, that I would meet and lose people along the way, and that it was okay, which I believe helped me develop resilience, emotional awareness, and a stronger sense of who I am. I still joined events but more in groups, explored new activities like playing volleyball, majorette, learning the guitar, and picking up new languages, chose a smaller circle of friends, didn’t pressure myself over school, and went to the gym with someone who doesn't drain me, and spent my free time going to coffee shops, the beach, parties, watching movies, and playing video games, which I believe showed my personal, social, physical, and functional qualities growing together. Looking back, even though the drive and passion of my younger self had shifted, I can see how experiences, choices, and relationships shaped my identity, helped me connect with others, and allowed me to grow in confidence, discipline, and self-understanding, which I believe made me who I am today.

I believe that Personal Development as a subject has been very helpful for me, as it taught me lessons that go beyond academics—lessons I will carry with me for life, helping me understand my thoughts, feelings, and actions more clearly. It encouraged me to reflect on my strengths and weaknesses, allowing me to recognize areas I need to improve while also appreciating what I am already good at. I discovered through class activities and discussions how my actions impact not only myself but also those around me, whether or not they are close to me. This subject also made me more conscious of my decisions and how I react to other people by emphasizing the value of empathy, accountability, and self-awareness. My top two favorite topics in Personal Development are Emotional Intelligence and Mental Health. I liked Emotional Intelligence because it helped me understand how emotions play a big role in our daily lives and relationships, and how managing them properly can make a difference. It made me realize that being emotionally smart such as knowing how to control your feelings, show empathy, and understand others—is just as important as being academically intelligent. Mental Health is also one of my favorites because it opened my eyes to the importance of taking care of myself not only physically but also mentally and emotionally. These topics reminded me that by understanding and managing my emotions is the key to building healthy relationships and living a balanced life.
