This happens within a second of being in someone's presence. Key factors that influence first impressions are personal disclosure, social, schema, stereotyping, self fulfilling prophecies, and looks. (Nevid, 2012 pg 488). I believe first impressions are lasting ones because no matter what a person does you'll always go back to the first time youmet the person. Golden Ratio, Similarity, Physical Attractiveness, Proximity, and reciprocity influence attraction. (Nevid 2012, pg 498). All of these factors include having similarities with another person or liking another person. Attraction is different for people.
