Four types of bad pathogens: Bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites
What is the immune system? The immune system is a system that fights off any pathogens, which is called an immune response.
Immune responses: It involves two types of cells: B cells and T cells. B cells fit to an antibody like a lock and key, and T cells will release toxins to kill off the invading bacteria.
Memory cells: They remember the virus, so when it comes invading again, they will divide and fight the virus.

Active immunity occurs when the response is to create memory cells. This will make the pathogen unable to infect any more parts of the body. Immunization also causes active immunity when the person comes in contact with the pathogen.

Passive immunity occurs when antibodies are being transferred to someone who hasn't had the virus before. They only survive in body fluids, such as women's breast milk or through blood.
