During my walk in the local park the weather was perfect with a gentle breeze that rustled through the trees and a warm sun. As the spring is starting the leaves are turning more green and the flowers are starting to bloom upstate. I could hear the soft chatter of birds and rustling leaves. What stood out to me most was the sense of connection I felt not just to nature but to the land itself. The park felt like a reminder that while we often rush through life, nature provides a slow, gentle rhythm that helps restore a sense of balance.

can "walking research" enhance my understanding of the spaces, lives and bodies we inhabit?

"walking research" can enhance your understanding of the spaces, lives, and bodies we inhabit. Walking as a method of research allows you to engage with the world in a dynamic, embodied way. By walking through a space, you can become more in tune to its rhythms, sounds, textures, and the way light changes throughout the day. Walking research is about engaging with space, people, and your own embodied experience in a way that opens up new ways of understanding. It’s an active, immersive approach to exploring the world around us, allowing for a deeper, more sensory, and more connected understanding of the spaces, lives, and bodies we inhabit.
