During the course of creating these pages and ancillary product, my Photoshop skills have developed massively so I was able to use it to it's full potential. Previous to this work, I had used the software in my AS course work which allowed me to develop my basic understanding of the tools and editing features however, this time around I believe that I have been able to further these skills and produce work that is altogether more professional and consistent with an existing magazine. Overall, this program has helped me to create detailed, high quality products efficiently and relatively easily. Photoshop has all the tools that I needed to complete this task which removed the need of for additional software, in terms of the production process of the product, completely. In addition to this I further used the Mac and its resources to access the internet and its software, therefore I was able to use all the programs I have previously outlined. This has helped me as it allowed me to complete all aspects of both the magazine making and the research and planning. Previous to my A2 course I had already used a Mac to complete my AS documents so I was already familiar with the feature on the Mac and how to work it. This allowed me to be more efficient and organized with my work. This camera helped me as it takes high quality photo and stores them on an SD card. This meant that I was able to easily remove the images from the camera onto the Mac. In addition to this the camera allowed me to zoom in and out when taking the pictures and automatically altered the amount of light in the photograph, so the image came out clear. For my AS coursework, I utilized this software and became very familiar with it; this was why I chose to use it again. This website allows me to conveniently organize and showcase the work I have done as well as display my final products. Throughout this course, this website has helped me to clearly display and organize the required information without loosing them due to the ability to add labels to individual pieces of work. the ability to create labels further helped me to keep track of the work I had done whilst also making my work altogether more accessible and clear. Previous to the AS Media course, I had not used or heard of this website so had to learn the controls and features from scratch. During the process of revisiting this site for my A2 course work, I have enhanced my ability on how to create posts, embed videos, pictures, documents etc and a range of other things that the software allows me to do. This program has helped me as it gave me the ability to save drafts, edit posts and alter the days on them to ensure I have completed everything in a time efficient way. In addition to this, the software also allowed me to add my own images, styles and colour scheme so the documents I created were personalized and fit the topic or area that I has researching and displaying. I used Prezi on a range of tasks including my: Regional Magazine Research, Masthead Design Research, Audience Theory, Recce, Location Scout and A2 coursework Pitch. I believe that this software helped me to easily use its features to have the ability to convey my information in a unique and different way- almost like a brainstorm or mind map type method. This program eliminated the need of creating mind maps by hand and scanning them onto the computer so allowed me to better manage my time and reduce unnecessary tasks. Previous to this year, I have utilized this piece of software in my AS course work and also in various other subjects. This helped me to show the images I had taken without taking up lots of time and space on my blog. In addition it allowed me to group the images and then ultimately analyze them to see which ones I would use where in my magazine. This helped making my decision on which images to use easier. I thought that having an online survey would be better as my potential target audience uses the internet more and would be more willing to fill in a survey online. Having never used Wix previous to this task, I found the tools hard to understand and find at first. After working with the program for a while and becoming more confident with the various tool and options that were available to me, I found that the process of creating my website become easier. Wix was a very helpful pierce of software as all aspects of a website that I wanted could be created on the site. In addition to this, the site allowed me to start from an existing template and develop it to make my own version.
