Additionally the Swahili people noticed that adopting their neighbours religion they would benefit by this helping with their trading relationships and granting the Swahili people with new access to trade networks. Finally another example of them adapting well is that many Swahilis at the time did not fight and adapted to the faith. They adapted Islam into their lives by reading the Quran and having religious classes present in schools.
