         <title>Dyslexia before going to school</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Signs of dyslexia can be difficult to recognize before your child enters school, but some early clues may indicate a problem. Once your child reaches school age, your child's teacher may be the first to notice a problem. Severity varies, but the condition often becomes apparent as a child starts learning to read.</div><div>Before school</div><div>Signs that a young child may be at risk of dyslexia include:</div><ul><li>Late talking</li><li>Learning new words slowly</li><li>Problems forming words correctly, such as reversing sounds in words or confusing words that sound alike</li><li>Problems remembering or naming letters, numbers and colors</li><li>Difficulty learning nursery rhymes or playing rhyming games</li></ul><div><strong>Dyslexia while attending school</strong></div><div>Once your child is in school, dyslexia signs and symptoms may become more apparent, including:</div><ul><li>Reading well below the expected level for age</li><li>Problems processing and understanding what he or she hears</li><li>Difficulty finding the right word or forming answers to questions</li><li>Problems remembering the sequence of things</li><li>Difficulty seeing (and occasionally hearing) similarities and differences in letters and words</li><li>Inability to sound out the pronunciation of an unfamiliar word</li><li>Difficulty spelling</li><li>Spending an unusually long time completing tasks that involve reading or writing</li><li>Avoiding activities that involve reading</li></ul>]]></description>

Then she had trouble learning her alphabet and I was told by her teacher that Lily might need extra support in her educational development and she provided me resources to provide Lily the support she needs. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><ul><li>I feel very proud of being my child's parent. I was blessed to have such an amazing child. My child learns from me just like I learn from her everyday. </li><li> My daughter learns different from other children just like they leaarn different than my daughter. We all have our ways of learning and that is how she is different from other children. My child needs accomodations and my support in order to advance in her educational development. While other children might need other type of support. Despite her struggles she has, she manages to advance in her education.</li><li> I deal with  is <strong>The Los Angeles County Branch of the International Dyslexia Association. </strong>The services they provide me with are, workshops, support groups, dyslexia simulations, local educational therapy, and assessment.</li><li> Lilys teacher Ms. Torres told me about the services The Los Angeles County Branch of the International Dyslexia Association and the services they provide.</li><li>  I am a single mother strugguling financialy.  I have to miss work constantly due to the meetngs I have to attend to at lilys school. Additionally, I currently do not have a car and I have to give most of my attention and to lily. Unfortunately, time only allows me to be a part time at my job.</li></ul><div><br>Dyslexia does not define who you are. We are all unique and have different characteristics. With or without dilexia we can accomplish our goals.  </div>]]></description>
