Aerospace engineers may work inside designated facilities, research laboratories or repair stations. Most engineers typically work a standard 40 hour weeks Mon-Fri, but it can vary. You may need to confer with other engineers, and repairs/testing may require multiple people, so it could be difficult to work alone. I don't believe the work would be too emotionally demanding, but it might be physically demanding at times.

Most of the engineers have a bachelors in aerospace and often have good critical thinking, do well with math and sciences, and are good at communicating with others. Expanding your math and science background by taking physics and calculus classes are the best first steps. Although, robotics or rocket building competitions are a great way to begin understanding how many aircraft work.

Aerospace engineers are higher up in pay, but they also have the chance to come up with (sky)groundbreaking technology that could revolutionize aviation. They can also work with many forms of aircraft and are not just limited to planes.

The field is slightly competitive as there are only about 60,000 aerospace engineers in the US. Many of them are located in areas with a lot of air traffic, which requires some people to relocate to further their career.
