The exhibition showcases photos that tell the stories of people and communities affected by climate change. The photos highlight efforts to rebuild damaged environments and prepare for future impacts, like anticipatory action in Ethiopia and shoreline protection in Spain.

The article also acknowledges the challenges faced by vulnerable communities, such as Tuvalu, which is at risk of being submerged by 2050. Despite these challenges, the communities remain resilient and hopeful.

From flooded plains to sun-scorched soil, the UNFCCC gallery captures the stark effects of climate change. Yet, amidst the devastation, it paints a story of resilience. Communities rebuild, farmers fight back, and innovative solutions sprout like seeds of hope. The faces, etched with hardship and resolve, reveal the human cost and unwavering spirit in the face of environmental turmoil. It's a poignant reminder that while nature bears the brunt, human resilience and ingenuity offer a path towards a sustainable future.

i. The Action Hero I have chosen is the : Water Wizard and Recycler Ranger . I have chosen theses 2 Heroes because water is a precious resource. Water should not be wasted because humans need water to survive. I chose Recycler ranger because plastic is not good for the environment at all. 8 million plastic is going in the oceans daily. This is not good because if this trend continues by 2050 a third of Bangladesh will most likely be underwater.

Q: Set your action and goal as a part of adaptation and mitigation.

Ans: I will save water by:

Taking Shorter Showers.

Turning off the water when brushing teeth.

For Recycling Me and My Classmates have a plan:

We will make a plan to collect all plastics around the school. More specifically the Plastic cups in the Dining area. We will hopefully be able to change it into glass cups. We will take the plastic cups to a nearby Recycling center. From this center we might get some cash so we will give this to MYP S.A. The cups will be replaced by glass cups that we will find ourselves. We will make a presentation and then:

We will present it to HOS Maam and Board of the school.

If they accept we will collect all cups and go to the Recycling center. We will also replace the plastic cups with glass cups if the school board allows.

WORKS CITED:

https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/UN_Climate-Action-Superheroes_WATER-WIZARD.pdf

https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/UN_Climate-Action-Superheroes_GREEN-GUIDE.pdf

Climate Change- Climate change is something we are facing today. It is caused by human activities like burning fossil fuel (oil, coil and natural gas) , pollution and others which are harming the earth and living organisms .

Atmosphere layers- The Earth's atmosphere is a thin layer of gases surrounding the planet. It is essential for life as we know it, protecting us from the harmful radiation of the sun and keeping us warm.

Ozone layer- The ozone layer, Earth's protective shield, sits in the stratosphere (15-35 km high). It blocks most harmful UV radiation from the sun, safeguarding life.

Greenhouse effects- Our atmosphere acts like a greenhouse: sunlight gets in, warming Earth, but some heat gets trapped by gases like CO2. This natural effect keeps us warm, but too much CO2 disrupts the balance, leading to global warming.

UN- The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945 to increase political and economic cooperation among its member countries.

UNFCCC - United States Framework Convention on Climate Change is to increase political and economic cooperation among its member countries.

SDG- The Sustainable Developments are 17 interconnected goals adopted by the United Nations in 2015.
